Pacific Beach or PB as the locals often call it, is a seaside San Diego vacation destination that is part of the epicenter of San Diego Beach culture. I grew up in the Pacific Beach Rentals scene, from the pb condos near Crystal Pear, to having stayed at many of the hotels in pacific beach that range from funky to fabulous. My grandfather first came to Pacific Beach after Pearl Harbor to join the Pacific Submarine fleet. My parents met in Pacific Beach, and I was born here in the 1970′s. I left in 1972, vacationed in pacific beach just about every year, lived here in 1989 for a while, and have had the great fortune to return in 2009.
